We Finally received an email from AT&T, that our IP has been unblocked!

We are having network problems with routing to web2.websitesource.net shared IP address : 216.177.142.128

The issue has been reporting to Network Administrators, and they are currently working towards resolution.

We apologize for the inconvenience, the issue should be resolved shortly.

We have identified that ATT’s network (including SBC) is having problems. Our servers are accessable from other providers without a problem. We have gone ahead and reported the issue to ATT’s support, and waiting for resolution.

If you’re trying to access web2.websitesource.net server from ATT’s network, you most likely won’t be able, until they resolve the issue.

Update :
We have contacted AT&T and basically they are refusing to report the incident to their Network Operations team for investigation, since we were able to provide only with 3 traceroutes. They have requested more traceroutes to be submitted, so they can update their Internal ticket, and then submit to Network Operations center.

If you’re having problems accessing http://216.177.142.128  , please run a traceroute 216.177.142.129 from your PC, and then submit the results to support@websitesource.com. After we have more data, we will contact them to ask for immediate resolution.

They have also recommended that if more AT&T clients contact and report this same issue, it will expedite the process and Network Operations department will actually work on the issue. I was told “Network operations don’t worry about couple customers, we need more data”, which was not pleasant, but it is the fact.

Update : August 7th, 2010

AT&T called back and informed us, that a ticket #43903 has been submitted to their Network Operation Center, by employee ID RR041J.

We hope that they will unblock the IP this weekend, however we will continue working with them on Monday if the IP is not unblocked by that time.
